Etude House AC Clinic Intense Pink Powder Spot: Review

Remember my post about the Clear Away Spot from THEFACESHOP? I used to rave about that product back in 2014 and I talked about it like I wouldn't be able to live without it. It was my holy grail spot treatment. Don't get me wrong. It still is, at this point, although if it goes out of stock, I have an alternative that I love just as much as that one.

Belo Perfecting Shield Tinted Sunscreen: Review

Recently, I have been neglecting my blog over youtube because I have been more into watching than reading. Lately, I have been obsessed with watching and doing first impressions review. While watching PinayBeautyandStyle Lover's channel, I chanced upon her first impressions review of the Belo BB Cream (or was it the Tinted Sunscreen?).

She mentioned that Sample Room had available samples of the product when she last checked. It served as a good reminder for me to check what's new in Sample Room. After all, it has been a while since my last visit to the website. Upon checking, I found out that there were a little over a hundred samples of the new tinted sunscreen from Belo. I immediately checked the amount of points I had and fortunately, I had enough. Hence, I took the chance and got one.

Miss Age Snail Anti-Wrinkle Serum: Review

I won't lie. This product has been with me for quite some time. I got it from Memebox back in December 2014. I kept it for a while and started using the product last year and I completely forgot to do a review on it. I am not using it anymore but I still think this one deserves to be featured on this blog. This $53 worth serum definitely did some good to my skin, not as a facial serum though. How? Read on to find out. ;)

Marionnaud Natural Cellulose Cleansing Sponges: Review

I've got to be honest. Rather than spending my money buying Clairsonic or other cleansers of the sort, I'd rather buy quality skin care items and use a cheaper alternative that does the job. But really, I don't have the funds for it so I tried this out on a whim. Fortunately, this trial turned into a great discovery, which is why I'm sharing it with you.

Nature Republic Skin Smoothing Lemon Peeling Gel: Review

About 4-5 years ago, I sat down with my dermatologist and she told me that peeling could help declog pores thereby reducing the amount of zits I had on my face. She also told me that it would be helpful in lightening acne scars brought about by these breakouts. While browsing inside the Nature Republic boutique in Festival Mall, my eye caught this Skin Smoothing Lemon Peeling Gel. I tried it on the back of my hand and I couldn't help but purchase.

Mise en scene Perfect Repair Treatment Pack and Serum: Review

I  started having hair troubles from October, last year, when I had my hair permed. Sadly, after having my hair permed, I suffered with dry and unhealthy looking hair. Because of this, I have been religiously taking care of my hair. Thankfully, my Memebox Global Box  #15 had products that helped me with my problems.

Aside from conditioning my hair everyday, I now apply hair mask twice a week and apply hair serum every single day. Specifically, I use the Mise en scene Perfect Repair Treatment Pack and the Mise en scene Perfect Serum.

The duo. I got the full size for both. Yay!

South Korea Beauty and Skin Care: Haul

Hi guys! Today's post is just going to be a very simple haul post. Remember I went to South Korea last December? Here's the haul I got during that trip. I honestly restrained myself from buying too much products in Korea, and I feel that I did a good job by resisting the temptation of buying every single cosmetics there. Hehe!

Frankly speaking, buying cosmetics in Korea is so much fun since most Korean brands offer good quality makeup for drug store prices. If you didn't know, I am a huge fan of Korean cosmetics. Before going to South Korea, I did my research and listed the things I needed and wanted to buy. I tried my best to stick to that list but of course, there were unnecessary purchases that I didn't plan ahead. In my defense, I think I still did a good job during my shopping spree so I request my readers to please give me a pat on the back (if you read this). ;)

2014 Beauty and Nonbeauty Favorites

This post is long overdue but I just finished uploading videos for both my beauty and nonbeauty favorites today. I thought it was a good idea to just make a single post for both so that you can see what are my favorites for the past year on a single post.

This post will mostly focus on my beauty favorites. I'm gonna list them all down below but I will also embed my nonbeauty favorites for those who are interested in what my favorites are in the anime, k-pop, drama, book, apps, etc. category.

Tony Moly Bubble Tree Green Tea Body Lotion: Review

I have to be honest with you. Since 2013, I've closed all my doors (and windows) to different kinds of lotions out in the market. Ever since I was diagnosed with urticaria (rashes), I've always just reached out to one lotion prescribed to me by my dermatologist. I did try switching from that lotion to other brands but the rashes come back and I just have to buy the prescribed lotion again. Last Christmas, however, I got this body lotion (Thanks Lyle!) from a good friend of mine.

The Tony Moly Bubble Tree Green Tea Body Lotion is just described simply as "enjoyable shower time with refreshing green tea-scented lotion". This is short to say that this lotion claims nothing but great scent. However, I must point out that even with having sensitive skin, I can use it 5-7 times in a week. That's saying something!

Etude House Every Month Cleansing Foam (#7- Aloe Vera): Review

http://lotsofgirlstuff.blogspot.com/2014/09/klairs-be-clean-natural-soap-wishtrend.html

Because I don't want you to get confused with the product name, let me just put it out there that even though this item is called the "Every Month" cleansing foam, it doesn't follow that you can only use this once a month. Honestly, when I first read the product name, I was confused but I trusted on my better judgment that cleansing foams are products that can be safely used for everyday.

The reason why it is called Every Month Cleansing Foam is because this particular line has 12 variants for 12 different skin types. Each of the variant corresponds to a month since as you probably have already guessed, we have 12 months in a year.

I got this particular product in the #7 variant, Aloe Vera Soothing Relief. I'm supposing this is the July counter part from the 12 and even though it wasn't really stipulated in the description, I believe they placed the Aloe variant as #7 because July is generally a part of the summer season in South Korea. A soothing product would definitely fit that type of weather.

Frankly speaking, my friend who got this for me only bought this because she knew that my favorite number is 7. It was only a bonus that I liked Aloe skin care products because I know that Aloe products are good for irritated skin.

Note how the product description has a major mistake. Instead of "aloe vera extracts that soothes irritated skin", they ended up with "aloe vera extract that soothes and irritates skin". (First line of description pictured above.) Oh well, you can pretty much tell what they were trying to say anyway. :)

When I first tried it, I didn't really find anything new to note of this product. The product itself looks like a clear gel and it just basically foams up like any other cleansing foams I've tried. I initially expected it to be cooling at some point but it wasn't. It was very typical and I didn't really find myself being impressed nor disappointed with the product. It didn't break me out  but it didn't really help with my current skin troubles so again, I just felt in between.

It's sealed! Yay!

During a swimming getaway that I had with friends, however, I slightly burned the high points of my face particularly the center of my nose and cheeks and it turned a bright pink from over exposure to sun. I used this facial foam for that along with my Nature Republic Soothing Aloe Gel which I reckoned would do the trick to calm my skin down. True to my expectations, just with one use, I woke up to a better non-pink, no-sore face situation. With that, I concluded that I would finally step out of the neutral orb and consider this product with a positive thought.

Though I wouldn't really recommend this for acne prone skin to treat/diminish blemishes, it is still a good product to try for 'aggravated' skin due to the harmful effects of the sun. It instantly soothes and relieves the skin from irritations, just as it promised in its description. I personally don't know how much this costs because this was given to me as a birthday gift but you can visit Etude House's facebook page and website for more details.

Out of all the 12 variants, which one have you tried or do you want to try the most? Please let me know in the comment section below.

Korean Organic Skin Care Giveaway Prize from WISHTrend!!!

Hi everyone! I'm not sure if you are following me in my twitter or my youtube channel but just recently, I shared that I was chosen as the winner for a Korean Organic Skin Care Set (CELLBN) from Wishtrend.

One month ago, I joined a giveaway hosted by WISHTrendTV. The giveaway was looking for one winner to try out Organic Skin Care products that they talked about in this video. I was actually not expecting to win. After all, there were already so many entries that I just tried out my luck. All I had to do was be subscribed to their channel (I already was), share the video (I shared it in twitter), add the hashtag WishtrendGiveaway and comment down why I wanted to try their awesome products. Check out the original giveaway video here:

I responded like this:
I have really sensitive acne prone skin. My struggle with acne has started ever since I started my teenage years. For more than ten years, acne has been a problem that I had to face. Sure, OTC acne medications helped keep them at bay and it is true that my acne problem has been reduced over time but it still did not completely go away. Right now, I am using dermatologist prescribed products but this causes redness and extreme peeling, if used for a long time. I wanna try out organic products that are gentler on the skin but would yield good results.
Two weeks ago, I was notified that I won! I was so psyched! I even sent a message to my family and friends. It was like I won the lottery or something! I was extremely happy! I sent an e-mail to WISHtrend and got the confirmation. Finally, last week, they sent the parcel.

(Sings) Bubble bubble pop, bubble bubble pop pop! Haha. Yes, it's bubble wrapped! Weee!
CELLBN Organic Skin Care Set

The other day, I got a notice saying I have a parcel to pick up at the post office and I immediately thought of Wishtrend's package that I have been waiting for. It took about a week for it to arrive here, which is actually faster than I expected since generally local post offices hold packages for a longer period of time before releasing it. I was so excited and as soon as I got ready, I immediately went out to claim the package. It was Wednesday, then. Holy Week. And when I arrived, the post office was closed! I was so confused since the notice said I could pick the item up from 1:00PM- 5:00PM and it was just half past 4 back then, so I really had no idea why the office was closed. Luckily, a guy was inside the office grounds and helped me. Apparently, since it was Holy Wednesday, the office was only open for half a day! Good thing lady luck was on my side and the staff hasn't gone home yet. The guy gave my notice to the remaining staff and they were kind enough to accommodate me, even though all the doors were already locked.

To cut the story short, I got ahold of my package! Yay! But it was getting dark then so I couldn't really open the package. I mean, I could. But I wouldn't be able to film an unboxing video, which I had already planned. So I decided to just leave my package alone for the night and restrain myself from opening the said parcel until the sun comes out the next day and gives me an opportunity to film an unboxing the video.

Yesterday, the sun was cooperating well, shining brightly, that I immediately filmed an unboxing video just minutes after I woke up. Of course, I washed my face first, brushed my teeth and drank my thyroid medicine (I got my thyroid removed before). But after all that, I immediately filmed the unboxing of the video. I got the CELLBN Organic Skin Care Set from Wishtrend, a set that costs about $250. Never did I imagine that I would come to a point that I would be given the chance to try a high end (expensive) product like this one. I was ecstatic! Here's the video of me unboxing the Wishtrend package!

I was so happy, I even placed closed captions in this video. Whew! ;)

I also did a small photo session of each of the items, filmed a nice video showcasing each of the items for my overview/ first impression video/ blog post so basically, expect that there will be a couple of videos and blog posts regarding this skin care set. The photos above were not really taken very well but I assure you that the next posts will have better photos.

Oh, and I'm typing this post in advance so this will probably be up tomorrow, two days after the actual unboxing day. :)
