Tony Moly Bubble Tree Green Tea Body Lotion: Review

I have to be honest with you. Since 2013, I've closed all my doors (and windows) to different kinds of lotions out in the market. Ever since I was diagnosed with urticaria (rashes), I've always just reached out to one lotion prescribed to me by my dermatologist. I did try switching from that lotion to other brands but the rashes come back and I just have to buy the prescribed lotion again. Last Christmas, however, I got this body lotion (Thanks Lyle!) from a good friend of mine.

The Tony Moly Bubble Tree Green Tea Body Lotion is just described simply as "enjoyable shower time with refreshing green tea-scented lotion". This is short to say that this lotion claims nothing but great scent. However, I must point out that even with having sensitive skin, I can use it 5-7 times in a week. That's saying something!

Klairs Be Clean Natural Soap | WISHTREND: Giveaway

Hi guys! I'm back with another giveaway!!! I'm so happy to be writing about this post, you just don't know how giddy I feel inside. Today is a Wednesday and just a few hours ago, I received an e-mail from Wishtrend and they informed me that I can host a giveaway for you! Wishtrend is the same company that brought to us one of my favorite skin care sets, CELLBN. So before anything else, let us take this moment to give Wishtrend a warm round of applause. *clap, clap, clap*

In this giveaway, a few of you will have the chance to win a Klairs Be Clean Natural Soap of their choice. If you didn't already know, Klairs is a well established Korean brand that produced great products such as the Klairs Illuminating Supple Blemish Cream and the ever-so-popular Klairs Rich Moist Soothing Mask. This is the very reason why I feel good about these natural soaps that are up for grabs.

Before I talk about the mechanics, I would like to give you a little bit of an overview of the the said product. Klairs Be Clean Natural Soap has 5 types. There's Hasuo Healthy Shampoo Soap (Hair), Rich Moist Facial Soap (Face), Manuka Honey & Choco Body Soap (Body), Teatree & Hinoki Hand Soap (Hand) and Peppermint Cooling Foot Soap (Foot). They help keep you clean from head to toe. If you want to know more about each of the product, make sure to click on the links as it will lead you to Wishtrend's page which has more in depth information regarding its ingredients and to whom each product is recommended for.

To expound more on the giveaway, I am pleased to announce that there will be not one, not two but THREE (3) lucky winners who will be chosen to receive one (1) Klairs Natural Soap of their choice. The giveaway will last for a week and I will try to announce the winner in all possible methods I can think of (social media, blog, youtube).

This giveaway will mainly run through youtube so you at least have to have a youtube or google account to join. The rest of the mechanics will be listed below:

  2. You must have or create a Wishtrend.com account. Registration is free. You can use my invitation code: 192094803 to get 5USD voucher upon signing up or simply go to this link: https://www.wishtrend.com:48598/?s=192094803 :)

  4. Optional: Follow my blog (bloglovin) and social media accounts (linked on my blog banner). This is not required. This will just help you keep track with the winner announcement.
Giveaway will last for one week until September 13, 2014 at 2PM GMT+8.
That's it! It totally doesn't cost a thing to join this giveaway so I'm definitely encouraging everyone to participate and you just might be chosen as the lucky winner. Make sure that you do all the required steps to avoid disqualification.

Good luck to everyone and let's all give thanks, once again, to the good people behind Wishtrend. Remember: I am only able to share this happiness with you because of them. Kamsahamnida, Wishtrend! :)

Vaseline Healthy White Serum SPF 30++: Review

It doesn't take a scientist to know the harmful effects of UVA and UVB from prolonged sun exposure. It is also not a secret that before going out of the house and getting exposed with the sun's harmful rays, one must arm him/herself with protection. And yes, I am talking about sunscreen.

The product is priced at PHP220 and I bought this from Watsons. Oh, and it contains 180ml. :)

This rule must be strictly followed especially in a country where whitening products are well advertised and used by the community. But then again, even without using whitening products, one cannot deny that sunscreen has become a necessity these days. It's a good thing there are moisturizing products that contains SPF and PA protection such as Vaseline lotions, or it successor, the 'serum'.

Introducing Vaseline’s most intensive whitening product yet: Vaseline Healthy White Serum SPF 30 PA++. It has more concentrated Vitamin B3 formula that whitens 3x more than regular whitening lotion. Has UVA and UVB protection against the sun.-- Sample Room
It's not my first time using Vaseline lotions, let alone the Healthy White line. In fact, I may have written a post for this specific line at least once before (over here).

Now, I don't really see the difference between the serum and the lotion despite the fact that the saleslady told me the serum is absorbed quicker than the other variants. This is, however, not a tested claim on my part since I don't have both the lotion and serum with me so there's really no way for me to compare and contrast. Thus, I provided you with a bit of a description of this new product, italicized two paragraphs above and well indented just to give it more emphasis. If you ask me, however, it just felt like a normal lotion. On the other hand, it is an undeniably comforting fact, that that the product has SPF 30 and PA++. There's this sense of relief whenever I sense the sun's heat emitting its effects on the surface of my skin. And before I forget to mention, there's also a little satisfaction that the packaging is something that I prefer over the previous ones. The cap is at the bottom, which makes storing an actual preparation for the product to move down into the opening by force of gravity. Also, the body is made of a material that's a lot easier to squeeze so I can imagine it would be a lot easier to empty out.

Moving on, its whitening properties aren't something that I really took note of. I didn't see any whitening effects, which is something that I didn't actually expect. I mean, I don't remember having any from the previous variants so I guess I was a little bit prejudiced. So in a way, I still wasn't disappointed.

So let me give an advice before I conclude this  post. Make sure to get one of these. Rainy days are ahead but our battle with the sun doesn't stop just because the sky decided to drop us a few bits of water every once in a while.
