Japan 2013 Haul (Daiso, Prettia, K-Palette, Dolly Wink, Olympus)

It's been almost half a year since I went to Japan and I don't know exactly why I only came about doing a Japan haul post today. I think it's because I originally didn't plan on making any post at all due to the small number of items I bought. But now that I think about it, I think a haul post is necessary just so I can have something to look back to when I think about my good old days in Japan.

One thing I made sure I was able to buy right in the first day of roaming around Japan is a good camera. For the longest time of 1 1/2 years, I've been yearning to get myself a micro four-thirds camera (mirrorless). It took me such a long time to determine what kind of camera I will be choosing as there were so many brands to choose from and I had very little knowledge on its specifications. After reading almost every article I can find about affordable mirrorless cameras, I decided to get the Olympus E-PM2. I sought the help of my brother, who also asked for help from his work colleague (who happens to be a photography enthusiast), and asked for opinions, if this camera is indeed worth its price. Fortunately, they said it was. So by the end of the day of my second day in Japan, I got this one in Akihabara. Specifically, I got it in WiNK Digital. Since I already had a model in mind, it was easy for me and my siblings to ask around (for the actual model) and we only needed to ask for a few more things like package inclusions and default item language, etc. I got the camera in the color silver and this is obviously where most of my shopping budget went into.
Now I wouldn't call myself a beauty blogger if I didn't buy anything beauty related during my three-week stay in Japan. Despite financial constraints, I managed to buy a handful of products for myself and a few things for other people. I wouldn't be talking about the products I bought for other people because, as you would expect, I have already given it away and I have no photos to show you. I will just talk about the products that I set aside for myself.

When my family visited Japan back in 2012, one of my most coveted item I acquired as pasalubong (souvenir) was the K-Palette Real Lasting Eyeliner. I was so happy they got a hold of it that I always kept it safe and sound with me, until this date. I bought a back up in Japan through the store called Donki because I know it doesn't cost as much in Japan, as compared to the ones sold in Beauty Bar. I happened to get a good deal because there was a good package of both the pencil liner and liquid liner-- Real Lasting Set. Both items were originally priced at 2400 yen but I only got it for 1500 yen. Yay!

Because I wanted to try Dolly Wink items, I also got this set of mascara and liquid liner. I figured I wouldn't mind having a lot of liquid liner back ups because Japan is known to have really good quality make-up (from what I've heard). I got it only for 1575 yen, which is also a good deal.

From the same Donki store (Akihabara), I got a hair dye from the brand called Prettia/ Liese. I know that this hair dye may be bought in most online shops here in the Philippines but I couldn't resist the temptation of buying one in Japan because it only costed me 680 yen. That's a lot cheaper compared to the prices they usually sell it here for. I got the shade Milk Tea Brown because I wanted the lightest brown tone they had and as far as I know, Milk Tea Brown is the lightest brown they had in their color chart.

The rest of the items I showed you (above) are actual purchases of my younger sister, who happened to offer me the items for my personal use. Thanks sis! These are eyeshadow palettes that we bought in a Daiso store in Northport Center Kita. We got it for cheap at 105 yen each.

That wraps up my Japan haul. If you want me to review any of the products above, leave me a comment below just so I can keep track on which products I should review first, one I open them.

with love, Anna Luisa
