Real Asian Beauty: Feature

Two months ago, I got the chance to attend Real Asian Beauty (Kristine)'s Meet and Greet. She scheduled this meet up as part of her numerous birthday celebrations. If you don't know who she is, then you better check the link above. She is one of my all time favorite blogger/youtuber. I found out about her through her K-Pop inspired nail art tutorials in youtube. After going through her videos, I realized that I also stumbled upon her blog at least once before I came to subscribe to her channel. She doesn't only do K-Pop related stuff like nail arts and whatnots. She also does DIY stuff and fashion videos. Her channel and blog is so versatile, you are bound to learn a lot from her. Another thing that I like about her is her down to earth personality. Even with more than 80,000 (Almost at the 90,000 mark! Yay!) youtube subscribers, I never felt like she became too proud or anything of that sort. This made me like her even more. Now, I try my best to watch all her videos and read all her posts. I suggest you do the same thing!

This one is my favorite OOTD of hers. In one of her blog posts/videos, she announced that she will be doing a meet and greet near the end of March and even though it was hard for me to get around the location of the meet up, I still made it and was even more pleased (of being a fan), seeing as she really is a nice person inside and out.

The meet and greet went by so fast, we even lost track of time. And even though it was just a short 2-hour (or was it 3?) get together, it was still really fun. She even gave us gifts!

I'm sure you've seen the face mask before (I already did a review on this and I love it!) but she also gave us two nail polishes and a lippie! Wow! It was supposed to be her birthday and she even gave us gifts! Isn't she the sweetest?! Thank you so much, Kristine! ^^

I'm excited to try the other products out, especially the nail polishes. I've been saving it up for an event but I don't think I will be able to help myself from using the items soon.

Hi guys! It's me, once again! I just wanted to share a very happy event that happened to my life recently. I've been active in the blogging and youtube world around early 2011, almost a year after I graduated from college. I've followed a lot of youtubers and bloggers and one thing exciting that happens from time to time is they host a giveaway, may it be sponsored or not. I've seen many giveaways and have joined countless of them and this is the only time where I actually won one! (I will be excluding that one time back in 2011 when I won an Asian cosmetics giveaway contest because it was more of a contest than a simple subscribe to my channel-random winner giveaway thing.) This time, it was hosted by RealAsianBeauty, in collaboration with Lightinthebox, and I won! Yay! Thank you!!!

The package was sent through DHL and arrived less than a week after they got my shipping address. Yay! 

So yeah, I didn't win the grand prize. I won one of the consolation prizes, which entitles me to pick one top from lightinthebox.com and they will be shipping it to me for free. What's even better is that lightinthebox saw my blog and decided to add a little something as a gift! I carefully chose a black blazer, which I actually have been meaning to get for quite some time now. It's a long blazer so it's perfect for me because I feel that it elongates my body and makes me look a little bit taller than I actually am. It also doesn't accentuate the bulge in my hypogastric area, since I'm not blessed with a flat stomach. I wanted to post an OOTD kind of thing, wearing this blazer but the current weather is not allowing me to do so since it's already summer! (The heat!!!) I'm just going to be showing you some photos right down below, along with the beautiful bracelet set that they gave me as a surprise. Good thing the one I picked is a timeless piece that won't go out of fashion even if I decide to wear it (probably) in July.

Anyway, I mentioned in the previous post that I joined her giveaways and yesterday, I was really tired because I went to Makati for final instructions on my upcoming training and when I got home, I checked my youtube channel and I found out that I won her giveaway! Yay! :D

I watched her video announcement over and over again just to be sure it was really me who won and yeah, I was really excited that I did win! When the announcement finally kicked into my system, I got up and jumped around the house! I was super duper happy! I told my mom (and all the people around the house) about the good news and a big smile was plastered all over my face. After all the ramblings and such, I went back into my room and thanked Syuri through comments and sent her a message in youtube. Anyway, I'm just super duper happy and until now, I just can't hide my happiness about what just transpired. It was my first time entering a contest through video response and I'm just overwhelmed I won.

Feature: Syuri @ youtube (syurisyndrome)

Okay, for today's Thursday feature, I'm here to present you... Syuri!!! :) I've first seen her in youtube because she does K-Pop inspired make-up tutorials. As we all know, I'm a self confessed K-Pop fan. I browse around youtube K-Pop inspired make-up tutorials when I have free time. I first saw her Ji Eun (Secret) Shy Boy Make-up Tutorial. I was so happy when I saw this because I'm a Ji Eun fan. Haha! I subscribed from then on and watch her videos whenever I see new uploads.

She posts mostly make-up tutorials (both inspired and original) but she also does haul, reviews, DIYs and OOTDs. I'm pretty sure in the following months, she would be offering more. So yeah, do subscribe to her channel.

Isn't she just adoreable? Oh, and she's also hosting international giveaways, I forgot to mention that. I've entered one in facebook and the other one in youtube (comments). And yesterday, I just filmed my video entry so yeah, I will join every single one of them in every single way. Haha!

Do follow her blog too. There are useful entries that you wouldn't find in her youtube so I personally think you should follow her in Blogger too.

Oh, and I just have to say, she has one of the cutest lips I have ever seen. I envy her. I actually noticed this back then but when I read her blog entry entitled DUPE: Melliesh Lipgloss 06 Candy Pink, I realized that yeah, she could actually have the world's cutest lips. And no, I am not weird. Just stating my observations. Haha!
