Berry Lens Yori Violet: Review

Please join my Korean skin care giveaway HERE. Ends March 31, 2015.

Today's review is going to be a little bit different from my usual makeup and skin care posts. Over a month ago, I received a pair of circle lenses from Berry Lens 5 Plus One Online Shop. Grace, the owner of the shop, kindly contacted me and sent me a pair for review. Of course, I agreed and she sent me the pair of my choice-- Yori Violet. I'll try to talk about the product in terms of color, enlargement and comfort.

I got plano lenses. No grade.

How it looks from the bottle

Lens Specifications: Diameter- 14.5mm, Base Curve- 8.6 and expiration date

Following the mark, it is very easy to open.

Before I get into the specifics of the item, let me tell you about my experience with this shop. First and foremost, Grace, the owner of the shop is very nice. She entertains questions and responds quickly. She also gives nice recommendations, if you ask for it. She shipped the items pretty quickly and I received the item the next day I gave her my details. She also makes sure that the item is securely wrapped with bubble wrap to ensure that the item won't get damaged during shipping. She also gives out free lens cases, in case you're wondering. They're currently having clearance sale. (More on that at the end of this post)

Don't forget to soak the lenses at least 8 hours before first use. :)

Comparison: With lens

To be honest, I was a little afraid of getting this pair because the model photo for this pair had bright, striking purple eyes. I wanted the lightness of the lenses to show but I didn't want my eyes to look neon. However, basing from my previous contact lens experience, getting dark purple lenses wont do me any good since it just appears dark brown when I wear it. You can hardly tell the shade is violet unless you stand really close to me. That is why I opted for the lighter shade.

Thankfully, it was able to lighten my eyes a bit although it looks more of a light brown with a hint of pink than a light violet on me. I dont mind, though. I find that this shade is very flattering and natural at the same time. Oh, and the pinkish effect is super pretty IMHO. (Pink is my favorite color.^^)

Another thing that I consider when buying circle lenses, aside from the color, is the diameter. My eyes aren't really that big and my face is a little smaller than most people so I feel that any lens that's bigger than 14.2mm looks alien-ish on me. The problem was Berry Lens only had 14.5mm as its smallest diameter so I settled for it. Good thing the ring design doesn't go at the very edge so it still looks pretty much the same as the 14.2mm effect, which basically means it suits my eye and face size. It still enlarges the look of the eyes but not so much. Some people don't prefer this but I personally like that subtle enlargement effect. Of course, if you want more enlargement, you can go for the bigger diameter lenses. Berry Lens have more selection for that.

I've tried a number of circle lenses before. I tried Geo, EOS, Dueba, Flexwear, Freshlook and other brands of contact lenses and so far, this is one of the most comfortable lenses I've tried. It's so comfortable, I sometimes forget that I have it on my eyes. I feel that the lenses are quite soft and are not as thick as the previous ones I've tried so I feel that my eyes can 'breathe' and they don't dry as quickly as with other lenses I've tried.

Overall, I am really impressed with this product. I would highly recommend this brand of circle lenses. It is also pretty affordable at PHP200 (sale price). The shope is currently on clearance sale so make sure to visit her shop ASAP before he sale ends.

If you're interested in getting a pair, you can visit Grace's online shop on facebook. Link is placed HERE. Also, if you want, you can use my code (annaluisa) to get 5% discount on ALL her items. That's all for now. Feel free to leave any questions in the comment section below.

With Love,
Anna Luisa
