THEFACESHOP Backryuncho Wrinkle Stop Eye Cream: Review

If there's a product I always rave about, it's this. My skin care changes from time to time, but my favorite eye cream doesn't. I admit to have tried switching to different brands a couple of times before (twice last year) but I always find myself going back to this brand. No other eye cream has surpassed the satisfaction I have with this Wrinkle Stop Eye Cream from THEFACESHOP.

I've been using this product since 2011 from the original Abyssine variant. Now, the formulation has changed with its key ingredient changing from abyssine (as mentioned) to backryuncho extracts. Nevertheless, both performs as good as the other.

Product description says, "A wrinkle care eye cream providing intensive care to fine lines around the eye area. Effective for moisturization, Backryuncho softens and moisturizes dry skin around the eyes."

 Hangul practice, anyone? :)

Priced at PHP995, most people would think it's hefty for an eye cream. After all, you can buy eye creams for a lot less in the market today. Yes, that's true. However, it is also important to note that this tub contains product that would last for about 6 months or so with twice a day use.

Lucky for me, I got this on a buy 1 take 1 promo so I got two tubs for the price of one! When my sister told me about it, I was so excited! Yes, my sister was the one who bought this for me because it was out of stock in most THEFACESHOP boutiques I was frequenting.

My only concern was not getting to use the product before it expired. The good thing about THEFACESHOP, however, is they place expiration date at the bottom of the tub so you know exactly when to dispose of the product. When I saw that the product was good until 2016, I was sold.

Secondary cap inside

One of the main concerns I have for this product, even before it was reformulated was its packaging. It's in a tub form and my main problem was hygiene. I didn't want to dip my finger into the product and I was concerned that with this kind of packaging, it would easily be contaminated with dirt and bacteria. Good thing it comes with a secondary cap to ensure that it wont get easily contaminated and with the reformulation/repackaging, they included a spatula which one can use to get the product.

Comes with a spatula (Yay!)

The abyssine variant didn't have a spatula so I was really happy when I saw that it already had one for the new variant. It's just the right size and has a compartment inside the box, which I failed to take a photo of.

More hangul practice?

As stated above, I have never found an eye cream that can match up to this product. It is my holy grail eye cream as it really does a good job in moisturizing my under eye area and of taking care of my fine lines. I highly recommend it and even though it's a little pricey compared to usual eye creams in stores, I firmly believe that it is worth every single peso, if you're not getting more than what you actually pay for.

Have you tried this product before? If not, what eye cream are you currently using? I'd love to know!
 With Love,
Anna Luisa
