Wet N Wild Megalast Nail Color (Candy-licious/Rose Bonbon): Review

Whenever I can't decide what nail enamel color I should sport, I always find myself going for a pink shade. For one, pink is my favorite color. Second, I feel that the color really suits me well. My mom always tell me that pink makes me look livelier. Lastly, I feel that with the right shade of pink, my nails look effortlessly nice and clean.

One of my favorite pink nail shade would have to be Candy-licious from Wet N Wild. I think it's the perfect shade of pink. It's not too bright, not too pale.

The nail polish applies really smoothly but you have to apply a good top coat to seal it and keep it from chipping. It's also pretty affordable at only PHP49. I bought it off of e-bay. Sadly, I can't find the seller's page anymore.

This is the first nail polish I've tried from this brand and I would have to say I'm pretty satisfied with its color and performance. I would love to try out other shades form this collection. Any recommendations? Let me know by commenting down below!

This post is super short as I just squeezed this in the middle of a drama marathon I'm having. I'm currently watching Fated to Love You (Korean version) and am now obsessed. I would love to talk more about the drama but I'm too excited to see what happens next that I'm just going to talk about it some more in a future post, probably in my other blog, Yoboseyo-Asia. Bye for now! :)

Nature Republic Color Waltz Nail Polish (Mint Sky and Hot Pink): Review

One of the most affordable products in Nature Republic would have to be their Color Waltz nail polish collection. It is priced at PHP 55, which is definitely budget friendly. They have a wide collection of nail colors and if you get them in boutiques, they have testers for each shade so you can try it out before buying one.

I got mine as a gift from Kristine (Real Asian Beauty). I joined her meet and greet last March and she gave some goodies for the attendees which was really sweet. I got this pair of nail polishes, which I absolutely love! The colors are super bright and eye catching.

Perfect Spring/Summer Colors
BL507/ Mint Sky
PK214/ Hot Pink
The Color Waltz collection has a flower design up on top of the handle (applicator).

My favorite of the two would have to be Mint Sky just because I find that the shade is more unique compared to the Hot Pink one (although my favorite color is pink). Combined, the two creates a really nice fun nail art, just like the one I did for a K-Pop inspired nails below.

Hyomin- Nice Body Inspired Nail Art
All in all, I am very satisfied with this nail polish. I find that most nail polishes these days, no matter what brand it is, chips off easily but this one happens to last longer on my nails. It has a semi-glossy finish so technically, using a top coat is not necessary although I highly suggest applying one on top to seal it and maximize its longevity.

Nature Republic (BB Cream, Powder, Mask Sheets, etc.): Haul

My love for Korean beauty and skin care products has been established over the last 3 years but my love for Nature Republic didn't shine through until late last year, when the models were changed to SNSD's Taeyeon and EXO. Fangirl at heart, I couldn't resist the temptation of buying products from the brand because both models are my favorites.

I now have my membership card! Card no. smudged, of course. ;)

A little over a month ago, while strolling around Festival Mall Alabang, I passed by the Nature Republic boutique and decided for myself that I would finally purchase enough products to get myself a membership card. To get a membership card, you must have a single receipt purchase of at least PHP 1000.

Nature Republic By Flower Powder Pact and BB Cream

My sister was in need of a new powder pact so I got one for her and I threw in this BB Cream from the same line, with the intention of giving it away as gift. But just so you know, the BB Cream is still with me and I'm still contemplating whether I should give it to my friend or not. ;p

Nature Republic Given By Nature Green Tea Mask Sheet

I also bought a few face masks because I'm such a sucker for them. Of course, I didn't forget about my favorite Orange Mask Sheet. I also got the Green Tea variant because the saleslady said it's the best choice for oily skin.

And because the things I bought weren't exactly on the high end lines, the total price didn't reach PHP 1000. Good thing I was shopping with a friend and she got a few stuff like (more) mask sheets and the Aloe Vera 92% Soothing Gel. She knew I wanted a membership card so she just had her purchases punched together with mine to reach exactly PHP 1000! Yay!

Just like any other Korean brands, they gave me some freebies to try out. I got a (Not for Sale) Argan Oil Mask Sheet with an EXO print and a sample sachet of the Super Aqua Max Combination Watery Cream.

Now, I only have one problem left. I can't bear opening the EXO face mask! Hahahaha! I view it as a collectible so I highly doubt the product to be of use anytime soon.

To end this post, let me leave you a random photo of my nails using a Cherry Picnic design that I got from elle & ish. I know my recreation is not even half as good as the original but I'm fine with it. ;)

Beginner Nail Art (Leopard Print) featuring THEFACESHOP, Caronia

I've never been an expert at nail art. I mean, some of my friends like the way I do my nails (at times) but I think that's only because only a few people in my circle sport the same thing unless of course it was done professionally where nobody but the nail artist gets the credit. Otherwise, DIY nail arts seem to be quite amazing for them. And I feel the same way too! DIY nail arts are amazing. With a creative mind, you can glam up your nails with different designs for different occasions. Sadly for me, though, only my imagination is creative. My hands/fingers can't seem to keep up with the designs I have in mind so I always end up messing up a nail design.

Two weeks ago, however, I decided to look through beginner nail art tutorials in youtube and I found one with leopard prints. To be honest, I want to link the specific video where I learned it from but there are so many leopard nail arts out there in youtube that it somehow got lost in the pile. But anyway, I was afraid of doing it on my own as it may look weird but thankfully, it didn't. Here's the finished design. I only had it in a couple of nails because I'm lazy like that. :p

It doesn't look perfect but I'm quite proud of it. :)

I used different nail polish colors (as you can see) and I would like to take this opportunity to share them with you just so you have an idea of the swatches. I can't find the black nail polish I used for this so it's not pictured below. But I believe it is from the brand called Sassy Colors.

That's all for now! If you have any easy nail art suggestions, please comment down below and I will try to have a go at it. Thanks!

Neon Nails (Neon Yellow and Neon Pink)!

Sometimes, wearing bright and colorful clothing doesn't suffice our desire to express summer season. We wear loud accessories and matching shoes to makeup for the lacking 'playfulness' that summer must be able to offer. And sometimes, despite all that effort, it still doesn't feel enough. In times like these, I suggest you do what I do, which is basically paint nails with a bright color.

It rarely happens to me but when it does, I go all out! Instead of just bright perky colors, I go for attention-seeking neon shades! Today, I will be sharing two of my favorite summer nail colors. What's great about them are they're both from local brands so I'm sure my Filipino followers would be able to easily get a hold of it, if in case they also decide to get one. It's also pretty cheap so you don't have to worry about burning a hole in your pockets.

 Chic Nail Color
 Shade: Neon Yellow
PHP 31.75. Very affordable. Bought this at Robinson's Supermarket. :)

I had to apply three coats of this. Otherwise, the color wouldn't show up well.

I normally don't wear yellow nails but I make an exception during the summer season. It's the first time I've worn an outright neon shade. What do you think?

I'm sorry if my nails aren't properly manicured. I don't know how to do my own nails. I tried to remove my cuticles on my own but I didn't do so well.
 More swatches

 Sassy Colors Nail Polish.
 Shade: Neon Pink
Price have been rubbed off but I'm pretty sure it's under PHP30. I got this one from Watson's.

So how do you feel about both the shades? Again, I'm sorry if my nails aren't as nicely done as before because I tried to give myself a manicure and I'm not really that good in removing my cuticles. I will, however, seek professional help next week, before the 2NE1 All or Nothing Manila concert on May 17.

NYC In A Minute Quick Dry Nail Polish in 208 Pier 17: Review + Swatches

I don't know about you guys but I've always found blue nail polish to be really pretty. Especially when the shade is close to Saphirre Blue. It could be because I'm an E.L.F. (Ever Lasting Friends-- Super Junior's fanbase) and that saphirre blue is their official color but I feel so pretty whenver I'm wearing my nails blue. It not only looks so royal, it makes my hands look brighter and nicer too!

Right before 2013 ended, I bought some nail polishes off of e-bay to bring for my trip to Japan and I got this NYC nail polish. It's from jcam168. And just for the record, this is not sponsored. Here are some swatches:
I even brought this at the salon so they could use this particular shade.
 DKFC2 nails.
I am so prepared to see Super Junior. :)

I personally have no complaints with the color but the shade could be more opaque. I mean, it looks opaque enough right now but that's only because I used three coats! For its price, however, I cannot complain. I didn't actually time the drying time for this one but I guess for layering three coats of nail polish, it did seem like it dried fast enough for me not to get bored. As for the staying power, I'd have to say it's so-so. You definitely need to put on some good top coat if you want this color to stay for long. It was already starting to chip on me on the second day. It's not as bad as some of my local nail polishes (Caronia, Bobbie) but I kind of expected more from it. But just the same, for its price, I really cannot complain. I mean, it IS my favorite nail polish of the moment so I guess that statement just sums up this post.

Klik Cracked Nail Polish: Review

I was walking around Landmark when I saw this local brand Klik carrying a whole line of crack nail polishes. Since it was pretty cheap, I decided to try it out. I only got one since I wasn't sure if the results would turn out to be okay. I got the one in purple.

(it dries up matte at first)
Here's how it actually looks after placing top coat

Pros:
- cheap (PHP 24.75)
- locally available
- has a lot of colors to choose from
- 2 packaging sizes to choose from
- good staying power with top coat

Cons:
- the cracks are not as sophisticated as I wanted them to be
- needs top coat

All in all, I think this is an okay product. Nothing special, though. If you want to create a nice nail art change without putting much effort (and budget) into creating it, then I highly recommend that you get one of these. Now would I re-purchase? Maybe.
