One thing that I miss the most about being in the Philippines is being able to shop at Althea Korea. A few months before I left for UK, the online shopping website opened its doors to the Philippines and just a little over a month ago, they had their one year anniversary celebration. I was so glad to be a part of their birthday celebration.

Etude House AC Clinic Intense Pink Powder Spot: Review
Remember my post about the Clear Away Spot from THEFACESHOP? I used to rave about that product back in 2014 and I talked about it like I wouldn't be able to live without it. It was my holy grail spot treatment. Don't get me wrong. It still is, at this point, although if it goes out of stock, I have an alternative that I love just as much as that one.

Belo Perfecting Shield Tinted Sunscreen: Review
Recently, I have been neglecting my blog over youtube because I have been more into watching than reading. Lately, I have been obsessed with watching and doing first impressions review. While watching PinayBeautyandStyle Lover's channel, I chanced upon her first impressions review of the Belo BB Cream (or was it the Tinted Sunscreen?).
She mentioned that Sample Room had available samples of the product when she last checked. It served as a good reminder for me to check what's new in Sample Room. After all, it has been a while since my last visit to the website. Upon checking, I found out that there were a little over a hundred samples of the new tinted sunscreen from Belo. I immediately checked the amount of points I had and fortunately, I had enough. Hence, I took the chance and got one.

Miss Age Snail Anti-Wrinkle Serum: Review
I won't lie. This product has been with me for quite some time. I got it from Memebox back in December 2014. I kept it for a while and started using the product last year and I completely forgot to do a review on it. I am not using it anymore but I still think this one deserves to be featured on this blog. This $53 worth serum definitely did some good to my skin, not as a facial serum though. How? Read on to find out. ;)

Pretty Secret Black Detox Mask (Charcoal, Honey): Review
It has been a while since I sat down and wrote a blog post. Lately, I have been too focused on my youtube channel that I have ended up neglecting my blog. Today, I decided to give my blog some attention and create a blog post regarding a product that I highly recommend.
While looking at new items in Watsons, I chanced upon this black detox mask sheet. It wasn't available in the Watsons in my area so I was really surprised to see this on the rack. (I got this in Watsons Salcedo Street, Makati City.) I have been looking for black detox mask sheets ever since it was featured by some of my favorite Korean youtubers.

Marionnaud Natural Cellulose Cleansing Sponges: Review
I've got to be honest. Rather than spending my money buying Clairsonic or other cleansers of the sort, I'd rather buy quality skin care items and use a cheaper alternative that does the job. But really, I don't have the funds for it so I tried this out on a whim. Fortunately, this trial turned into a great discovery, which is why I'm sharing it with you.

Nature Republic Skin Smoothing Lemon Peeling Gel: Review
About 4-5 years ago, I sat down with my dermatologist and she told me that peeling could help declog pores thereby reducing the amount of zits I had on my face. She also told me that it would be helpful in lightening acne scars brought about by these breakouts. While browsing inside the Nature Republic boutique in Festival Mall, my eye caught this Skin Smoothing Lemon Peeling Gel. I tried it on the back of my hand and I couldn't help but purchase.
Fresh and moisturizing peeling gel formulated with Vitamin C of rich lemon gently removes dead skin cells and impurities

iWhite Korea 2 Minute Whitening Miracle: Review
I noticed that a lot of beauty bloggers and youtubers have been going on about this iWhite 2 Minute Whitening Miracle and although I wanted to jump in on the bandwagon sooner, I couldn't find this particular product in the nearby supermarket and Watsons in my area. Last month, I dropped by Megamall to get my prizes from a video contest I joined and I chanced upon this product in the beauty section of SM Department Store.

Ariul Stress Relieving Purefull Cleansing Foam: Reviw
Who likes a good stress reliever? I know I do! Today, I'll be talking about the Stress Relieving Purefull Cleansing Foam. This is a part of the Memebox I got last year and I've only tried it a couple of months ago.
It's been some time since I last used a cleansing foam. Over the past four months, I've been using facial bar soaps and it was only when I used this that I remembered how nice it is to use a cleansing foam. This particular product has 75ml packaged in a really cute bright teal and yellow packaging. I absolutely adore how it looks.
This particular product is claimed to gently cleanse and leave skin moisturized through three steps of purifying, soothing and moisturizing. Natural fragrances are supposed to freshen your senses and removes microdust and impurities for healthier "purefull" skin.
After using the product, I can say that it works just as well as other gentle cleansers out in the market. It foams up pretty nicely and cleanses without irritating the skin. It isn't harsh at all. It does leave the skin a bit moisturized but you still have to go through all the steps of your skin care as you will still need a moisturizer.
The thing that I like about this product is the scent. It smells really nice. A bit of citrus, natural herb and clay scents (sorry, I'm bad at describing scents) makes it a good stress reliever, at least for me. I am a sucker for natural fragrances.
This is a pretty good product. I would recommend this to people who do not have problematic skin and doesn't have any particular area that he/she would want to focus on.
With Love,
Anna Luisa

J Tomas Solutiuons No Sweat Anti-perspirant Deodorant: Review + Giveaway
It's the start of rainy season, guys! But then again, it's still extremely hot and humid most of the time. I find myself sweating all over in the middle of the day. It sucks, I know. Especially when my underarms start to sweat. I find it embarrassing and uncomfortable at the same time. Previously, I just went with it. No matter what antiperspirant I use, I still end up having the same results (sadly).
About a month ago, Ms. Joy of JOTOCO Corp and I decided to do a collaboration which would involve me trying out several products from their company for review, hence this post. Yes, the products were given to me for free but rest assured, all opinions are my own. They did not pay me to say anything in particular for this review.

One of the products they sent me would be the JTomas Solutions No Sweat Anti-perspirant Deodorant which comes in a handy white simple spray bottle. To be honest, my first impression wasn't really anything extraordinary. Read on to find out how it changed within 24 hours of use.

Mestiza Soap: Review
I first came across this product while going through random youtube videos. Well, you know me. When I have nothing to do, I just go through my subscription list. I wasn't looking for anything in particular. I was merely video hopping when I saw a video by Joyce Sola where she mentioned this particular product. She mentioned it was good for back acne and I was instantly sold.

C20 Pure Vitamin C 21.5 Advanced Serum: Review
Hi guys! Did you miss me? I missed blogging a lot! I've been too busy with work that I didn't have time to write reviews as much as I wanted to. I haven't shared this yet but I've gone back to being a nurse. I still work in the ICU. The only difference is that I'm working for a smaller hospital near my house instead of my previous one. Anyway, I won't get into that. I'll get on with the review. :)
Today, I'm going to be reviewing this Vitamin C 21.5 serum from Wishtrend. I was lucky enough to be offered to write down a review regarding this product. I tested it out for about 2 months just to make sure that I can give you an in depth review of the product. I also tried taking before and after photos for reference.

Holika Holika Egg Soap Special Set: Review
Happy Easter everyone! I may not have easter eggs to show off but I have
this- Holika Holika Egg Soap Special Set. Holika Holika Philippines was
kind enough to send me this for review. I've tried some Holika Holika
makeup but not skin care. I figured it's about time that I do so which
is why I wholeheartedly accepted the offer.
I searched online for existing reviews on this line and surprisingly, it
has good reviews. This set comes in four variants- white egg, green
tea, red clay and charcoal. The white egg soap is for pore tightening,
green tea is for moisturizing, red clay is for removing dead skin
cells and charcoal is for sebum control. I have oily, acne prone
sensitive skin and we all know that April is the start of summer here.
The temperature gets warmer and warmer plus the humidity makes us sweat
more than ever. This is the reason why I chose to try the charcoal soap
first.
They have an ongoing promo where a purchase of any egg soap product, whether 2-pc or 4-pc, will get you a Jelly Cleansing Puff which retails for PHP165 until supplies last.

South Korea Beauty and Skin Care: Haul
Hi guys! Today's post is just going to be a very simple haul post. Remember I went to South Korea last December? Here's the haul I got during that trip. I honestly restrained myself from buying too much products in Korea, and I feel that I did a good job by resisting the temptation of buying every single cosmetics there. Hehe!
Frankly speaking, buying cosmetics in Korea is so much fun since most Korean brands offer good quality makeup for drug store prices. If you didn't know, I am a huge fan of Korean cosmetics. Before going to South Korea, I did my research and listed the things I needed and wanted to buy. I tried my best to stick to that list but of course, there were unnecessary purchases that I didn't plan ahead. In my defense, I think I still did a good job during my shopping spree so I request my readers to please give me a pat on the back (if you read this). ;)

Tony Moly Bubble Tree Green Tea Body Lotion: Review
I have to be honest with you. Since 2013, I've closed all my doors (and windows) to different kinds of lotions out in the market. Ever since I was diagnosed with urticaria (rashes), I've always just reached out to one lotion prescribed to me by my dermatologist. I did try switching from that lotion to other brands but the rashes come back and I just have to buy the prescribed lotion again. Last Christmas, however, I got this body lotion (Thanks Lyle!) from a good friend of mine.
The Tony Moly Bubble Tree Green Tea Body Lotion is just described simply as "enjoyable shower time with refreshing green tea-scented lotion". This is short to say that this lotion claims nothing but great scent. However, I must point out that even with having sensitive skin, I can use it 5-7 times in a week. That's saying something!

Current Skin Care Routine (Acne Control): January 2015
One of the biggest problem (for me) that a beauty blogger can have is being plagued with acne on various parts of the face. As a beauty blogger, there are expectations one must meet. One of them is having (almost) perfect skin. It's like an unspoken rule for beauty bloggers to always look flawless. I know this rule isn't absolute but sometimes I feel that the struggle is real. The case is also true when I try to film beauty videos. I feel pressured to do something about my problematic skin. Most of the time, I am ashamed of my skin condition.
The thing is, we don't choose what kind of skin we have from birth. Unfortunately, I have oily, acne prone, sensitive skin. This means I get greasy easily, I get acne (sometimes cystic) and that my skin easily reacts to different skin care products. Just because it works for someone else, doesn't mean it'll work for me too. It also doesn't mean I don't take care of my skin. I am very religious with skin care. I take a shower everyday and wash my face at least twice a day. Despite all these, I still can't eradicate all my skin problems.
Today, I will be sharing with you the products I am currently using to help with my current skin condition. These are all products prescribed to me by my dermatologist from Skin 101. If you didn't know, I regularly get facials and treatments at Skin 101 SM Muntinlupa. After trying to manage my skin on my own for such a long time (but not getting the results I want), I finally decided to consult their in-house dermatologist and was prescribed with a whole new skin care routine.

THEFACESHOP Backryuncho Wrinkle Stop Eye Cream: Review
If there's a product I always rave about, it's this. My skin care changes from time to time, but my favorite eye cream doesn't. I admit to have tried switching to different brands a couple of times before (twice last year) but I always find myself going back to this brand. No other eye cream has surpassed the satisfaction I have with this Wrinkle Stop Eye Cream from THEFACESHOP.
I've been using this product since 2011 from the original Abyssine variant. Now, the formulation has changed with its key ingredient changing from abyssine (as mentioned) to backryuncho extracts. Nevertheless, both performs as good as the other.

Premier Dead Sea Aromatic Mineral Body Treatment: Review + New Year Message
Before anything else, I would like to greet everyone a Happy New Year! I don't know how your celebration went, but our family's was great. 2014 has been good to me although it was mostly uneventful for the most part and it ended really nicely with some unexpected surprises. I am very thankful for that. For 2015, I have bigger plans, not just for this blog or my youtube channel but also for my nursing career (but I won't go into that in this post). I'm sure you, guys, have plans too and I have no other wishes than for your plans to turn into reality.
For the review, let's first talk about how I got to try this particular product. While my mom was going through her stuff, she saw a skin care set from Premier that contained this. It was given to her as gift and because there was just so much stuff in her drawer, she instructed me to take it and make good use of it. So I did.

MEMEBOX Global #15: Haul
Before anything else, let me tell you a little something about Memebox. You might have heard of this before but for those who have only seen the name "Memebox" just now, I am here to help satisfy your curiosity.
Credits: Memebox website
Now that you have an idea of what Memebox is, it's time for me to tell you how I got a hold of this particular box completely for FREE. About 2-3 months ago, I joined a giveaway hosted by Sparkly Chee and in that giveaway, I won 10 MEME points. (Thank you!) Meme points can be used as cash in the Memebox Global website. I used that along with the one-time discount code "TRYMEMEBOX" that slashes $15 off of your purchase. Because of that, I was able to get the box without spending anything. Aren't I lucky?
