A few months ago, Ms. Shegil, an independent business manager and owner of Chesky's Shop, offered to give me 10 shades of this Colour Collection Ultimate Wear Lipsticks for review. I had no reasons to say no so I accepted the offer and I am glad to show you the different swatches of all the lipsticks she sent, along with the one I got from Sample Room (Headturner). All in all, there will be 11 shades shown in this post.

Colour Collection Vitamin E Lipstick (Sheer) in Pinkish Nude: Review
Originally priced at PHP 330, I got this full size, 4g lipstick for free from Sample Room. Sample Room is a website that allows you to sample a variety of products ranging from beauty, skin care to other things like fitness, etc. If you've never visited their site, I suggest that you do. You won't regret it. :)
Last year, I got this particular lipstick from there. Believe it or not, I was surprised to see that I don't have a separate post for this particular product. I really thought I already reviewed it but after going through my folder of review back logs, I saw these photos and I realized I haven't done a proper review yet.
I chose this color because I thought this would be a great shade to use for everyday. True to my expectations, its color is one of my most favorite shades to sport on a regular day outside. It is a pinkish coral shade. I know the shade name is pinkish nude but it really doesn't appear nude-ish to me. It actually brightens up your lip color without overdoing it.
When I was still wearing this to work (back when I was still working in the ICU), a lot of my workmates complimented this particular shade because it was a really nice everyday pink shade. Also, it is quite moisturizing as it contains vitamin E and it's sheer enough that I don't have problems applying it without a mirror.
These are swatches, just in case you wanted to see how it looks like. I apologize for the low quality photos for this post as this was taken using my old camera. But the color is pretty similar, especially the first swatch above. I just decided to include the poorly taken second swatch because I would like to emphasize that this particular shade is a bit glossy when worn. :)
I really love this product. It's one of my most favorite products from Sample Room. The only negative thing I can think of is the scent as it has a very lipstick-y scent. It's hard to explain but it smells a bit waxy. However, this doesn't bother me that much since this waxy scent disappears within the minute you apply it on your lips.
Colour Collection products can be bought through dealers. Personally, I haven't bought one as I don't know any Colour Collection dealers out there. If you are one, please comment down below and leave us your contact details so we'd know where to get Colour Collection products from.

Tony Moly Berry Berry Magic Lip Tint: Review
Hi everyone! There's only a day left to join my international giveaway. It's totally easy to join so be sure to enter and get the chance to win a Japanese Bubble Hair Dye called Palty Foam Hair Dye in the shade Milk Tea Brown!
Moving on to the real post, I am here to share with you one of my most favorite makeup items ever. It's the perfect everyday lip color for me. The photos were taken a while back when I got this as a present for my birthday last year but I only got the chance to review it now. Do note that this is the old packaging and as you go through this post, I will also be sharing its new packaging so you don't miss it out in stores. The product is called Berry Berry Magic Lip Tint from the Korean brand, Tony Moly. Why magic, you say? Read on and find out! ;)
The product comes in a sturdy plastic packaging that's just a little bit bigger than a 5 peso coin. It's very handy and fits into my makeup bag very well. Contrary to most Korean brand packaging, its appearance is quite simple. There are no printed designs, no artwork embossed nor drawn. The shape isn't anything special either. However, I don't mind this because it definitely delivers more than it presents.
Manufacturing date is written at the back! :)
I got this in the shade #1 Strawberry. I swatched all three colors (before) and initially, I thought this was the lightest of the three. This is the very reason why I didn't get this for myself. I got the Green Apple one (which I haven't opened yet) for myself. Thankfully, a good friend of mine (Thanks Dana!) decided to give this to me as a present. It turns out, this particular shade comes out brighter on me than the other two.
As you can see, the product itself is clear. It just looks like a regular lip gloss in this small container. This is where the term 'magic' comes in. When you first swatch the product, it delivers a very light pink shade that reacts to your skin chemistry. A few more seconds later, it transforms into a brighter shade of pink that looks really complimentary to my medium light skin tone.
This has been a staple in my makeup bag for months and months and I remember being fond of using it as an everyday work lip color. I got a lot of compliments whenever I wear it and the best thing about it is that it's super easy to use.
I used to work as a nurse and everything seems fast paced and activities happen one after another that it's really hard to maintain and retouch your makeup within the day. This particular product, on the other hand, makes it easy to do so because I can easily reapply this even without the use of a mirror.
Even though I don't use it as often as I first tried it, this still remains as one of my most reached out product especially when I can't decide on what lip color to sport. My sister also particularly likes to 'borrow' this because of its versatility and outstanding performance.
I would highly recommend this product to any girl out there! Just know that this is already marketed as the "Tony Moly Berry Delight Magic Lip Tint" and it has four different shades. According to some other bloggers, the Strawberry (clear) and Green Apple (green) still has the same shade but the other two are new ones.
Make sure to get one when you drop by a Tony Moly Philippines counter/ boutique near you! Also, let me know about the two new shades as I don't have them in my collection (yet).

Tony Moly Kiss Kiss Lip Scrub: Review
There's only 6 days left to join my ongoing giveaway! I will be giving away a hair dye from the Japanese brand called Dariya Palty in the shade Milk Tea Brown, which happens to be one of the popular shades they have. It is open internationally so everyone is encouraged to join. :) (You
will probably see this introduction in most of my future posts up until
the giveaway is over. I hope you don't mind the post by post plug. ^^)
Talking about lip care is so rare for me. Honestly, my lips aren't really high maintenance. For the past 24 years of my life, my lips have been very good to me. They're almost always well moisturized and needed nothing but a good lip balm to keep its state. There are days, however, when my lips just go a little bit rebellious and become dry and flaky. It's most apparent during summer season whenever I forget to hydrate myself well enough. But rainy season isn't an exception either. Occasionally, I would experience this dilemma and find that my regular lip balm isn't enough. In times like this, I turn to use my Tony Moly Kiss Kiss Lip Scrub.
This PHP348 of goodness comes in a very cute lip shape plastic packaging. I don't know about you but I am really fond of its shape. To add things on top of that, the packaging is in a nice coral pink shade which I absolutely adore! That is why when me and my sister came across this product in SM Mall of Asia Watsons, we didn't hesitate to buy it.
This was originally intended for my sister who was suffering from extreme lip dryness due to the use of an acne medication that rendered her skin dehydrated all over, including lips! Her lips, back then, were flaky and wounded, with cuts in between because of the said dryness. She was really having a hard time then and we decided to take action. We wanted to buy a product that would be gentle enough to exfoliate the lips while leaving it well moisturized to keep it from further cracking.
A lid to protect the product from contamination is present.
This particular product has vegetable grain scrub that makes it an effective product for peeling. This helps remove the dry flakes on the lips and leave it smooth. It also has honey to nourish the skin and leave it moisturized. After using it once, my sister was in love with the product. Because her lip condition was very bad during that time, it took her a couple of usage before her lips dramatically improved. Nevertheless, she was very impressed with the product.
Shortly after that, I also experienced the same problem, only my condition wasn't as bad as my sister. I noticed that my lips were cracking a bit and no amount of lip balm was helping with the case. This pushed me to try the same product. At first, I was really pleased with the scent as it had a cherry-like smell that I really like but after all the process of lip scrubbing, I found myself totally in love with the whole product itself as it left my lips (almost) perfectly soft and smooth with just one use!
Honestly, this is the first lip scrub I have ever tried and I have never tried another brand of lip scrub again. I would highly recommend this product for those of you who wants to give your lips some love.
For more details on the product, you can visit Tony Moly Philippine's website or facebook page. You can also follow them in twitter. This is not a sponsored post. I bought this product with my own money.

Ever Bilena Matte Lipstick in Viva: Review
Before I go on with the formal content of this post, I would like to invite everyone to join my ongoing giveaway. I will be giving away a hair dye from the Japanese brand called Dariya Palty in the shade Milk Tea Brown, which happens to be one of the popular shades they have. It is open internationally so everyone is encouraged to join. :) (You will probably see this introduction in most of my future posts up until the giveaway is over. I hope you don't mind the post by post plug. ^^)
The shade is depicted on the cap so you don't have to do some guesswork.
So enough about my giveaway plug. Here's to the real deal! Ever Bilena matte lipstick has been in the market for years now and many Filipina beauty bloggers have already professed their love for this product. I wasn't much of a matte finish fan but since many people are swearing by this product, I decided to join the craze. A little too late, you might say. Well, this is actually not the first time I've tried this particular product. It was two years ago when I convinced myself to buy one. I got the shade Mauvey for its nice nude pink color. I was pretty satisfied with my purchase but I never got to review it.
Swatch taken with my old camera
A year ago, however, I decided to buy another one from the same line, but a different color. I chose Viva. Viva is a nice everyday pink color. With one swipe, it looks very natural, perfect for those days when you just want to look sweet and simple. It is buildable, though, to a brighter finish for when you want to make a subtle pop of color on your lips.
True to its name, it sets matte. This can either be a good or bad thing, depending on how you like your lips to be. As I've said, I'm not really a fan of matte finish lipsticks but it doesn't really matter to me because I can easily just top it off with a gloss if I want to.
On the other hand, something that bothers me is that it leaves my lips 'too dry' if I don't prep properly. To solve this, I always make it a point to apply lip balm prior to applying this product. It also doesn't have a long staying power but I really don't expect it to be at only PHP155.
In my opinion, I don't really see this as a product that I would rave about but rather a product that delivers to its expectations. I wouldn't necessarily recommend this as a must-have but I would say it's something that's nice to try. However, if you have an extra PHP155 in your wallet (or purse... or wherever you keep your money) and there's a Watsons store (or any other major department store) near you, then I don't see any reason why you shouldn't buy it. It has a wide selection of colors so I'm pretty sure you will get one that fits your style.
This particular product is a part of my Top 5 Summer/ Spring 2014 Lip Colors. Be sure to check out the other 4 in this post.

Nichido High Definition Lipstick (Pretty Tulip): Review + Swatches
Since I'm feeling a little lazy today, I won't be writing down a long post today. This will only be a short review plus swatches of one of my favorite lip colors these days. This was included in my Top 5 Summer/ Spring 2014 Lip Colors so you may have seen it at least once before, if you're a follower of my blog.
Cute packaing, don't you think? :)
Poor swatches from my old camera.
The highlight of this post is a local Filipino product from the brand Nichido. It is called the High Definition Lipstick in the shade Pretty Tulip. I put this baby to good use over the past two months whenever I felt like going for a bold lip color and minimal eye makeup. I find that instead of red (which I consider to be the best for a bold lip color), pink or orange is better suited for warmer weather. This is not an absolute rule. It's just my opinion. You can wear red if you want to, of course!
So I've been constantly reaching out for this particular product for the most part of April and have been using it interchangeably with the Colour Collection Ultimate Wear Lipstick (Headturner) that I got from Sample Room. I like it a lot as it is has good color payoff. The shade is a very vibrant pink, perfect for a minimalistic makeup. You instantly glam up even with little to no eye makeup. I use this whenever I have an important event coming up with limited time for preparation.
Poorly taken swatches are still swatches. Just deal with it. :p
It has a bit of a satin finish which I personally prefer. It tends to dry up after a couple of hours so I highly recommend that you prep your lips with a balm prior to using this. It transfers too so you have to reapply after you drink or eat. It's not a big deal though. Especially since it only costs PHP198.00 in Watsons!
It has a tinted lip balm strategically located at the cover cap that you can use to prep your lips. I rarely use this as I prefer using my Maybelline Baby Lips as base but I've tried it before and it does a pretty decent job of moisturizing your lips.
This is not your ordinary color cap. It's a lip balm! ;)
The shade is almost always mistaken (by my family) to be the same as the other lipstick I mentioned above but just to be clear, I will provide a swatch side by side, below, just so you have a better idea. Nichido is a hot pink lip color with a little bit of coral undertone where as Colour Collection has a little bit of blue undertone.
L: Colour Collection; R: Nichido
See the difference?
For those of you who are looking for an affordable lip product in the hot pink family shade, I suggest you get this one and try it out! It works well, cheap and widely distributed all over the Philippines! Bili na! (Trans: "Buy it!")

Nature Republic Botanical Lip and Cheek (Red Tangerine #04): Review
Summer ain't over until you say it is... Well, at least that's the case here in the Philippines. I'm not sure if I mentioned this before but I have this firm perception that it is always summer here in the Philippines with occasional bouts of rainfall coupled with a little bit of storms here and there, especially during the months of June- September. Unlike other countries that are blessed with exciting four different seasons of winter, spring, summer and fall, Philippines is so different as it is a tropical one. So while other countries in the west are preparing for summer, here in the Philippines, we bid goodbye to the hottest months of our year. Recently, every now and then, we would experience rainfall, an event that was a bit elusive for the past three months. But despite the few bouts of rainfall, it is still pretty hot and humid here for the most part of the day. So before summer give its final bow, I would love to share this specific product from Nature Republic that has become a staple in my makeup kit.
Shade 04, Red Tangerine
Nature Republic is nature friendly. :)
This particular product is called the Nature Republic Botanical Lip and Cheek in Red Tangerine. I got this from my most trusted Korean cosmetics online store, Kkochipida. I'm pretty sure you've heard of this shop at least once if you've been following my blog. But just in case, here's some of my previous posts of products I got from her (Charm). I highly recommend buying from her.
Obligatory swatch is once again not giving justice to the actual product. This was taken with my old camera, for those who are wondering.
Anyway, since orange is a color that I usually associate with summer, I put it to good use for the past three months. In fact, I even made a makeup tutorial using it! And although it is only advertised as a lip and cheek product, I used it as an all over color cream. It's so versatile!
Clicking on the photo above will lead you to the makeup tutorial video wherein I made use of this product. It may be able to give you a better idea of how it functions if you see it in action. Oh, and don't forget to subscribe if you do watch it! ;)
What I liked the best about this particular product is the shade itself. It's the right shade of orange that doesn't make me look weird. The only down side is that because it is a cream product, I always have to set it with powder. Otherwise, it would not last more than an hour. If I do set it, however, it can stay for a good 3-4 hours, which is pretty standard for my oily skin.
To sum this up, although orange is more of a summer color, I don't see any reason why it cannot be used in other seasons as well so I highly recommend that you get one.
Oh, and a special shout out to the best mom in the world-- MY MOM! It's her birthday today! Have fun today! God bless! I love you! <3
