Review: Skinfood Acai Berry Mask

I'm going to post a review on this product before I totally forget my thoughts regarding the product. I have used this face mask last week. I didn't get to finish one sachet in just one use. I used it for about three to four times before I finally used one sachet up.

This clear, (kinda) watery face mask from Skinfood is a very moisturizing, smoothing mask. Just as what it claims, it simply moisturizes your skin. To be honest, I was surprised to see/read that this particular face mask doesn't offer anything extra. I've been used to using face masks that claims to moisturize + ______(fill in with added properties). This one in particular just claims to moisturize. That's it. After using the product, I have noticed that my face feels smoother and softer. I have nothing much to add since I didn't particularly see anything extra about the product.

I did feel some bits of scrub-like particles while applying the product but it wasn't a lot. At least not to the point of being called an exfoliant. I'm not sure what those particles were but it wasn't abrasive or anything. It was just there inside the clear lump of face mask. I'm also not sure as to what it does but since I did not have any bad reaction towards it, I didn't mind it.

I was not particularly impressed with this product as compared to other face masks i've previously tried but I wouldn't exactly say I hated this product. It's the kind of product I had fun trying out but would probably not repurchase.

On another note, (I'm gonna go a bit off topic) tomorrow is one of Philippines' much awaited K-Pop concert called Dream K-Pop Fantasy Concert featuring SNSD, Infinite, U-KISS, EX-O, Tahiti and Tasty. I'm quite excited since I will be attending the said event. I'm seeing all the artists mentioned above for the first time (except for U-KISS- I've already seen them twice ^^)!

Collective Haul: Kkochipida, Watsons, Landmark, Forever 21

Hi everyone! It's my last week of being on leave so I might as well make the most of it. I will be sharing with you a collective haul. These are mostly stuff that I bought and got ahold of for the past week, starting last Saturday. I didn't really buy a lot but I did buy more than I usually do. I'm not sure if I told you this before but I'm not really a spender.

Last Saturday, the package I have been waiting for has arrived. I bought some Korean cosmetics online from a store called Kkochipida and had a really good experience. After settling my dues last Friday, I informed the store owner and she immediately replied that she will be shipping my orders on that same day. The next day (Saturday), my package arrived! I was super happy! She even gave me some freebies! Yay!

 Package came via JRS Express

Holika Holika All That BB Cream and THEFACESHOP Clean Face Clear Away Spot

Freebies: Skin 79 Hydrating Gel and Fluid Sample. Yay and thanks! :)

If you're planning to buy Korean cosmetics, this is one store that I would recommend. :)

Last Sunday, however, I got my regular acne control facial from Flawless and had the chance to drop by Watsons afterwards. I saw a post regarding this product over some blogs and wanted to try it out so I bought one for myself.

Gluta-C Intense Whitening Underarm and Bikini Skin Whitening Gel

Then came Tuesday and I had to drop by Makati to settle something from work so I strolled around Landmark and got ahold of these lovely babies.

Just some random Landmark accessories. Really affordable.

Last Thursday, I had to go back to Makati for my scheduled check-up and dropped by Forever 21 afterwards and got this top. This was actually a top that I tried on the day before (Tuesday). I didn't buy it since I was shopping alone and I kind of wanted an 'okay' from a trusted person before I actually bought it. I ended up just taking a picture of myself while wearing it and left. That night, however, I showed the photo to my mom and she absolutely loved it. I came back for it last Thursday and immediately bought it. Good thing they still had my size available (last piece).

Not only do I like the tiger print, I also love the studs on the shoulder area. I was not able to take a photo of the actual product because they already washed it earlier and is now our for drying.

So yeah, this wraps up my haul. I'm not sure if these kinds of posts are interesting enough for you guys but then I really just wanted to share these products with you. If you want reviews on some products I've showed you, just comment down below.

Travel Make-up + NOTD

Hi guys! This is just going to be a post on what makeup products I brought with me last November during my travel to Singapore. I only brought the essentials and packed them in two small pouches.

I bring one pouch with me all the time. This one is intended for touching up. Take a peek inside that pouch:

The other pouch was intended to be used before going out and these are stuff that I leave in my luggage/hotel. I feel that these are some products I won't be needing once I'm already out (makeup that won't be retouched). Here's what's inside:

This set-up worked well for me. Not only did I save some space for my hand carry bag but I feel that I brought the right products along with me to Singapore. Truth be told, though, I did not do much retouching even though I feel like most of my makeup was gone by the end of the day (Singapore was a bit humid just like the PH). I was so busy having fun that I didn't even think of checking my makeup out.

Out of curiosity, I wanna know what are some makeup products that you bring with you when you travel?

And on another note, I wanted to share the nails I'm sporting today. I used two local nail polishes to do this. One is from Rain by Color Trends (Pistachio Delight) and the other one is from Caress (Carnation).

Also, on a related note, I bought a stick-on metallic nail polish from Bobbie. Has anyone tried this product yet? I'm curious to know if this actually works well.

First Impressions: Cream Silk Perfection Daily Treatment COnditioner

Tagged as the next generation conditioner, Cream Silk Perfection Daily Treatment Conditioner for full-bodied straight hair promises to restore smoothness from roots to tips. It claims to have the power of treatment with the speed of a conditioner.

I received this product sample a while back and I never got to use it until now. They say this one's specially designed for straightened hair. Yes, my hair is naturally straight but I still want to see how it would work on my hair.

I've always used the regular line of Cream Silk as my conditioner (purple/pink). It's my favorite conditioner, by far. It makes my hair soft, manageable and it keeps my hair smelling good all day long. Now I want to see if there really is a difference between their regular conditioners and this one.

SCENT
I'm not a big fan of the scent. I don't think there's anything wrong with the smell, though. The scent for this one is milder compared to their regular line, which probably explains why the scent goes away faster with this one. It may be just me but I prefer the scent their regular line has.

CONSISTENCY
I don't really see any difference in terms of its consistency as compared to the regular line.

EFFECT
It's pretty much the same effect but I guess my hair's a tad bit softer after drying it out. I love the way my hair feels afterwards. I keep touching my hair from time to time after using this. It also makes the hair manageable and shiny.

So the question is- would I replace my weekly hair treatment with this? I don't think so. I still like my Sunsilk Damage Reconstruction treatment over this.

Now would I replace my good old regular Cream Silk conditioner? No. Since in my opinion, there's only minimal difference between the two. I'd be sticking to their regular conditioners (in pink/purple) simply because (as I've said) I like the scents better.

I want to reiterate that this product does NOT smell bad. It smells quite nice, actually. And overall, I think this is a good product. Just not good enough for me to switch and buy the full size version.
