SNSD Sooyoung Inspired Make-up: How To

So it's official. I got an SMS yesterday and I'll be starting my hospital training soon. I'll be busier than ever so I'm pretty sure I won't be able to post as much and I definitely won't be following my schedule as I posted before.

In advance, I'd like to apologize. I'll read all the comments and when I get the chance, I'll reply and even make the 'tagged' posts I'm supposed to do. But anyway, I'm just thankful for all my followers.

Here's a tutorial on a look I've done two weeks ago. I've posted this in my youtube 2 weeks ago, I think. Anyway, just click on the photos below to see the tutorial.

I hope you guys enjoy this tutorial. It was inspired by SNSD's Japanese Run Devil Run MV. :)with love, Anna Luisa

Hanskin Glossy Magic BB Cream + Hanskin Mineral Magic BB Cream: Review

Hi everyone! Sorry for MIA-ing on you. I haven't had time to actually check my site out cause I've been mass filming tutorials for my youtube account lately. I feel pressured because I'm going to start training in the hospital soon and I know I'll be pretty busy when that happens but anyway, I'm back and I'm here for a back to back review! Yay! :)

Here's just a simple review on the first 2 bb creams I've tried, both from the same brand Hanskin. I couldn't say much about the product specifics because the descriptions were in korean.

Just click on the photos above to direct you to the youtube link.

NOTD: Simply Red

I couldn't think of a name for this nail art so I just copied the name of the polish I used. It's from Caronia. I used the Sassy one for the white flowers

I think this nail art is super nice. Would love to hear your thoughts on this. :)

Orly Nail Polish Play Collection: Review

This is actually an old set of polish I got as a gift from one of my good friends. I've had it for quite some time already but the consistency has not changed ever since I opened it. It contains 6 fabulous colors perfect for summer.

If you'd like to see how some of them looks like when applied, you can check it out here. Frankly speaking, I haven't tried other shades from Orly aside from these six but I am very much satisfied with their performance. All six has a nice pearl finish even without a top coat. It's quite pigmented but you need two shades for the color to be opaque.

Out of all the nail polish brands I've tried, Orly seems the best for me. It's sooo WORTH IT.

Pros:
- fabulous colors
- easy application
- doesn't take too much time to dry
- pearl finish
- consistency doesn't change

Cons:
- a bit priceywith love, Anna Luisa

Vision Check: Tip

The Almighty Father has given us one pair of eyes to last us a lifetime therefore we must take care of it properly. Admittedly, I don't have 20/20 vision. I have astigmatism on my right eye and probably myopia on my left (not sure 'cause it could have healed but I haven't had it checked yet). Nonetheless, this had cause my vision to be less sharp. It's not that I can't see without my glasses but light seems to be refracted differently. I just wanted to share this so you'd know.

When my eyes started having problems, I noticed that light emitting devices form "rays". I'm not sure if you know what I mean but let's say I was looking at the time stamp on the dvd player. The lines of the numbers actually emit "rays" like when we draw the sun in our elementary art works. I also noticed that I had frequent headaches and it was hard for me to concentrate on doing something intricate because it would then lead to another headache.

When my eyes are both opened, I can see clearly. But when I cover my left eye, my right can't see fine details clearly. Some letters of a certain size would come comepletely blurred. I suggest when you have a feeling your vision is getting worse, check your eye one at a time. Cover one eye and check the uncovered one. Use reading magazines and read it about a feet away from you.

If you notice something weird, don't hesitate to call for a doctor's appointment. Four years ago, I noticed having the symptoms I specified above and I did not have my eyes checked. I only found out I had vision problems a few months after and now the problem of my right eye is pretty bad. I'm almost 20/20 on my left and my right is 20/40. Anyway, I just wanted to share this with you guys. I know its not something new. Just treat this as a reminder. That's all for now! Take care! :)

Tony Moly Mini Tint (Shade #1/ Cherry Pink): Review

Hi everyone! This is a review of Tony Moly Mini Tint in Cherry Pink. I remember Hollie requesting me to review this product. I'm really sorry it took so long. Anyway, It's going to be a bit different today 'cause I have a video review. I was really uneasy, I always forget what to say next and I keep on repeating what I've already said! Aigoo! But since I had it filmed already, I just decided to upload it anyway. Haha! Just click on the photo below to view the video because I think I have it unlisted. xp

Palty/Prettia Bubble Hair Color in Caramel Sauce: I Want!

I know I just colored my hair recently but I really want to try coloring my hair with either yellow or ash undertone. I'm still not exactly sure what color I want for myself but seeing as there's a possibility that I will be employed before July, I don't think I will be able to color my hair anytime soom. Right now, I have to stick with the Brownie color I had from Loreal Casting Creme Gloss because as a trainee nurse, I don't think I should color my hair in a striking light color and distract my seniors.

Truth be told, I'm not sure if there's any rule regarding hair coloring but when I was still a student, it wasn't allowed in our affiliate hospital (the one I applied to) to color your hair far from your natural shade. I have yet to find out if such a rule really exists.

NOTD: Sparkling Blue Gradient

I'm aware I haven't been online for 2 days straight and that's because last Friday, I had a call back from the job I applied to. I remember telling you guys about my job interview last time. And I'm also sure I haven't told you I got a call back last Tuesday scheduling me for an aptitude test. I had the test last Wednesday and they told us to expect a call within 2 weeks. To my surprise, I was informed I had to go back to the hospital for pre-employment physical examination the day after. So yeah, last Friday, I spent the day going around the hospital for the examination. I bought some stuff on the way home but I don't plan to talk about that here on this post. After that, I met some of my good old friends and I was just so tired when I got home so instead of typing a post, I slept.

Yesterday, however, was a different story. I tried opening my PC but it wouldn't load through. Memory was busted (or something like that, I'm not really sure). So yeah, expect less posts this coming week because it's not yet fixed.

Today, I borrowed my mom's laptop and decided to share this:

I did  this yesterday and I like it a lot. It's pretty simple but girly. What do you think? :)

Oily Bangs: Tip

Ever since I started having my hair cut with side bangs 4 years ago, I've always loved the way it looks and frames my face. I only have one problem with it. As I have combination skin, my face tends to get a bit oily in the middle of the day. My bangs naturally lie on my forehead and as my face builds up oil, some of it gets absorbed by my bangs. Result? Coagulated (oily/ greasy) bangs!

Now what do I do to as a solution to this problem? Loose powder! I get a bit of powder and I run it down my bangs. I rub it until the powder color blends to my real hair color. As a result, my hair becomes dry and fluffy once again! Yay! :)

Loreal Casting Creme Gloss (Shade454/ Brownie): Review

So yeah, I know I've told you I already got my hair cut but I'm not sure if I told you I've colored my hair with Loreal Casting Creme Gloss in Shade 645, Amber/ 454, Brownie. It's my third time coloring my hair with Loreal Casting Creme Gloss. The first time was with the shade 415, Iced Chestnut and the second time was with Amber/ Brownie. You can tell I was happy with the Amber/ Brownie shade that's why I colored my hair with the same shade during the third time.

One box contains an instruction sheet, creme developer, colorant and a conditioner. The instruction is pretty simple. Test for allergies. With dry unwashed hair, apply the product. How? Section your hair, apply and massage.

You might be confused as to why I placed Amber/ Brownie as the shade I'm sporting right now. As you can see, my actual product says Shade #645 Amber (see first picture above). But try searching it online or better yet, go directly at loreal-paris.co.uk and view the whole collection. The Amber there looks nothing like the one I got but looks exactly the same as Shade #454, Brownie. Now I'm not sure what the reason behind is for this error. My hair right now looks nothing like the Amber shade in their web. It's closer (although not exactly the same) to the Brownie shade they have. Thus, I have concluded that I've colored my hair with Loreal Casting Creme Gloss Shade #454, Brownie. I got mine from the mall (Landmark Makati). I bought it twice and I got the same product (Brownie with the label Amber). Good thing I did not base my selection from the color name but from the swatch/ sample they had.

The following pictures were taken late in the afternoon around 4:30 PM. As the natural light was insufficient, I opened my bedroom light. Here's how it looks like on me:

Without flash (above)
With flash (above)

I'm gonna be reviewing the product and will head on to the pros and cons directly.

Pros:
- did not cause allergies
- color looks natural
- hair feels soft and shiny afterwards
- has NO ammonia
- staying power is long (mine did not wash off) even though people say it's semi-permanent and washes off after 28 rinses
- available locally

Cons:
- box says Amber but it's actually Brownie once you search online
- smell stays on for a few days
- few color selection available here in the Philippines

Overall, I would say that the product is WORTH IT.

Make-up Post: NOTD

My nail of the day which was supposed to be posted yesterday. I used the Rain by Colortrends nail polish in Precious Glitz (small magenta with bigger gold glitters) over my hot pink nails. I love how simple it is. I originally painted my nails hot pink last Friday in preparation for the 2NE1 show last Saturday. If you're a K-Pop fan, you would know that their official color is hot pink. I decided to use a hot pink polish for the event and yesterday, I got tired of just looking at plain hot pink nails and decided to top it off with glitters! Tell me what you think. Here's how it looks like:

Make-up Post: Mini Haul

"Make-up" in "Make-up Post" doesn't mean cosmetics. I simply want to create posts for the days I've been skipping posting. So this one's supposed to be my Friday post. I got a few things last Thursday and just wanted to share it with you.

(L-R: Precious Glitz, Twinkling Marble, United Colors, No Name)

I got 3 nail polishes from Rain by Color trends and 1 polish with no brand. I got everything with glitters. It was my first time seeing Rain polishes with glitters. I saw four variations but I didn't get one of them because the combination was silver and blue. The blue color was the same shade as the glitters in the no brand one but the glitters in the no brand were bigger so I decided to buy that instead of the Rain. But now that I think about it, I should've bought all the colors I saw. All the Rain polishes were priced at PHP 15 while the one with no brand was priced at PHP 10.

Nichido Multiple Stick in Sunset Glow

My best friend got me a Nichido Multiple Stick in Sunset Glow which was on sale for PHP 188.00. I did check the expiration date because sometimes they go on sale when the stocks are almost expired. Expiration was dated 2013 so we bought it. I haven't opened it yet but when I swatched it in the store, it had a pretty peach color. I believe you can use this for your eyes, cheeks and lips.

If you want me to do a review on any of the products above, do let me know.

Excuses

I skipped posting yesterday and I also wasn't able to post earlier today. Sorry! I know I've been MIA-ing a lot lately but I do have reasons!

Yesterday, my bedroom wall was repainted so we were all busy inside the house. I also had my haircut (geometric bob) and I met with my best friend. She was busy studying for the CPA board exam and now that it's over, we met up to catch up with what's happening with eachother's life. Basically, I was busy and tired.

Today, however, was worse. I had to clean up my room and it took me forever to finish. I also had my hair colored (Loreal Casting Cream Gloss in Shade 645 (Amber). So yeah, sorry if I haven't been blogging much lately. Right now, I feel really tired and I just want to doze off.

I'm pressuming I won't be able to blog tomorrow (so sorry!) because I will be out in Araneta to watch 2NE1's show. I'm so excited I even painted my nails hot pink (their official color) earlier this afternoon! ^^

THEFACESHOP Triple Baked Color (Silver Gray 03) : Review

I got this as a present from my friends before. They know I really like K-Pop and I like having Korean stuff so they got me this shadow. The first thing I noticed is how cute the packaging is. It was even wrapped nicely but I didn't get the chance to take a picture of it. I actually never threw the wrap because I found it really nice.

The product is pretty small, perfect for travelling.

It has three colors, hence the name, perfect for a smokey look. It has white, silvery grey and a dark grey. At first I thought the darkest color was black but then I looked closely and saw that the shade was more of a dark grey.

The applicator, which I never use, is cute too! The handle is transparent and curved. The shape fits the curve of the shadow so it sits perfectly on top of it.

Anyway, they're all shimmery and as for the pigmentation, it's so-so. The white and dark grey colors are pretty pigmented but the silvery grey one is not that noticeable when you apply it. You need a good primer for the color to show.

This product is priced at PHP500+ and personally, I think you can get a better shadow with more colors from a different brand with the same price. But if you're someone like me who likes Korean stuff, this item is actually nice. Over all, though, I feel that it is NOT WORTH IT and is not something that I would buy for myself. That is mainly the reason why I am so thankful to my friends who gave this to me. :)

Pros:
- very cute packaging
- size is perfect for travelling
- colors are perfect for a smokey look

Cons:
- a bit pricey since the colors can be easily substituted
